England vs India Test Series

The England-India series is always something special, full of drama and top-quality cricket that keeps audiences gripped throughout test matches.

This series, played at some of the best cricket grounds worldwide, was no different: over 7,000 runs were scored with 21 individual centuries being scored during it!

One can certainly argue this series will go down as one of the most unforgettable ever!

No one has seen better examples of skillful bowler Jasprit Bumrah or brilliant batsman Rishabh Pant than England and India have shown in this epic five-match series than in this thrilling encounter between India and England, where Jasprit Bumrah has dazzled with his speed while Pant has dazzled with his masterful batting. But both teams are feeling fatigue as the series draws towards its conclusion at The Oval next weekend.

Dramatic ending to an exciting series! After Woakes hit Mohammed Siraj for six, Atkinson ran bye off the first ball of the next over to wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel – leaving England needing only 11 to win!

However, Prasidh Krishna bowled their next over and Woakes missed out on being run-out but managed to sneak one through instead; and England managed a single.

Gill’s modest overseas batting record raised serious doubts about his captaincy, with their heavy defeat in the opening Test at Headingley compounding these anxieties.

Yet in Edgbaston he led India to an amazing 336-run win and their remarkable comeback in Lord’s was nothing short of incredible.

On the penultimate day, however, India coach Gautam Gambhir became embroiled in an off-field controversy with Surrey County Cricket Club lead groundsman Lee Fortis after Fortis objected to placing a cooler on the playing square.

Video footage appeared to show Gambhir gesturing angrily toward Fortis after objecting to this placement of cooler.

It was an unexpected turn of events amid an otherwise exhilarating series full of fiery passion and thrilling performances; yet just another chapter in a remarkable rivalry that will endure long beyond this one day!

England vs India ODI Series

The Oval’s fourth day had all the makings of a classic. The pitch was as fast as ever and its run rate made for an electrifying finish, leaving no seats unoccupied in its 60,000 capacity arena – an appropriate ending to one of England’s best series since 2005’s Ashes victory! A series that will live long in memory.

England’s bowlers rose to the challenge, with seamers Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler providing an effective platform for England’s spinners.

Together, the duo shared an outstanding fifth-wicket stand of 334, with Stokes hitting his maiden Test century while Buttler made history when bowled by KL Rahul for a fantastic 141 which saw him join an exclusive club of batsmen to score 1000 Test runs in away countries.

India’s powerful batting lineup was put under immense strain during the final Test match against England.

Their openers struggled with England’s pacey bowling attack and failed to build any momentum; Mandhana was eventually caught at slip by Sophie Ecclestone off Arlott while Harmanpreet Ghosh fell for just one run off Dean.

After an ineffective start to their second innings, Mandhana recovered quickly to build a productive partnership with Deol, before succumbing to pressure when she was dismissed by Krishna’s pinpoint yorker.

Atkinson hesitated whether to farm strike or risk Josh Tongue’s leg stump but was ultimately caught off another yorker from Krishna and caught by Jurel at slip to bring an impressive series to an equal conclusion 2-2.

England will attempt to complete a 3-0 series win in Chester-le-Street for Charlotte Edwards’ side in order to prepare for October’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

After losing in their opener in Cardiff, England had appeared vulnerable after falling short 3-0 against India; an emphatic victory could give them confidence for what lies ahead – not forgetting Jos Buttler returning after his injury layoff will also provide them with extra momentum going into their tour finale.

England vs India T20 Series

On Wednesday, India and England T20 series is set to commence at Eden Gardens with five matches set over a span of three days, representing an important preparation phase ahead of next month’s ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan.

Host India will benefit from Mohammad Shami returning fit again while wicketkeeper/open batsman Sanju Samson looks to build upon his impressive showing during last year’s T20 World Cup win in Australia.

England will be led by Jos Buttler and Brendon McCullum, taking over limited-overs duties for the first time since concluding the Test series.

England hopes to change their recent record in this format against India – having lost all four previous matches played this year due to dew playing an integral role – by winning this one-day series and expect high scores on both sides! It promises to be an engaging and thrilling series!

India will aim to maintain their dominance of T20 cricket against Sri Lanka by winning all bilateral T20 series between them since August 2023.

Additionally, this series provides India an excellent opportunity to prepare their side ahead of co-hosting T20 World Cup 2026 which they co-host together.

Axar Patel recently hinted that hosts may experiment with flexible batting lineups while Rishabh Pant looks forward to adding to his impressive T20 run tally.

England put on an extraordinary show despite injuries inflicting havoc in Lord’s Test, from Stokes’ heroic efforts and Gill’s brilliant batting, with its dramatic 2-2 draw etching itself into English sporting history.

Old Trafford was no less thrilling a venue; from men batting while wearing arm slings to captains conceding defeat with nine balls left, Old Trafford series offered drama.

Edgbaston and Lord’s are expected to see similar lineups to what were used at Oval; however, Old Trafford may see England make some adjustments with captain Joe Root reportedly suffering from a hamstring injury.

England vs India T20I Series

England and India will begin their T20I series from Wednesday at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, providing crucial preparation ahead of next month’s Champions Trophy tournament in England and Wales.

England can use this matchup as an opportunity to give lesser-used youngsters such as Jacob Bethell and Brydon Carse a longer run-out in their team.

India will have to manage without Jasprit Bumrah while he recovers from a back injury, but Mohammed Shami remains available and ready to lead their bowling attack.

After a dramatic end to the second Test at Old Trafford, England will hope to put its nerve-wracking finish behind them and focus on their goal: taking an early lead in this high-scoring series. Jos Buttler and Ben Duckett may need to step up with heroic performances as England look towards winning its first series against India since 2018.

The second game took place at Edgbaston and ended in a nail-biting tie, as India’s spinners Ravi Bishnoi and Abhishek Sharma tested England’s bowlers.

Atkinson stood out with his powerful blow off Siraj to bring England level; unfortunately Josh Tongue’s review of a decision to call off play due to rain left England needing 19 runs to win with just one ball remaining.

England found themselves struggling to gain any momentum, until Buttler was dropped off a skier by Rohit Sharma to bring England level. Buttler then managed two fours before falling victim to Dhruv Jurel at long-off’s spectacular diving catch.

Dramatic battle, with both teams showing a great deal of bravery under pressure to create an unforgettable match – this classic will go down in history as one of its kind between English and Indian cricketers.
