Tanushka Kotian made an unbeaten 90 and Anshul Kamboj hit his maiden First-Class fifty as India A set an unlikely target of 439 in the post-tea session on the final day, to secure a draw at Northampton in this unofficial four-day Test match.
England Lions attempted to chase it, yet struggled and fell short eventually falling to 32 for three in their second essay; Dhruv Jurel (28) and Nitish Reddy also got some valuable practice as India A gained match practice prior to embarking upon a five-Test series starting June 20 in Beckenham.

India A and England Lions’ first unofficial ‘Test’ ended in a draw at Canterbury on Monday, but batters still managed to rack up plenty of runs to boost their confidence ahead of the second ‘Test’ starting in Northampton on June 6.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Dhruv Jurel and Nitish Kumar Reddy all managed half-centuries on an easy scoring wicket that provided easy boundaries – especially Jaiswal who hit 64 off 60 balls while Easwaran was similarly aggressive in his stroke play while Reddy and Jurel both featured heavily with big hitting innings that will provide confidence ahead of Northampton on June 6!
