1. Australia vs. England

Australia and England have a long history of fierce cricket rivalry, most famously in a series called ‘The Ashes’. The Kangaroos have a good record against the English, winning 21 of the 44 Test matches played between the two sides.

The teams will meet again in 2026, with three ODIs and a Test scheduled for February and March. Australia’s matches are broadcast on Foxtel and Kayo Sports, with Channel Seven covering the women’s games. Australia is also hosting the 2025/26 T20 World Cup.

2. Australia vs. New Zealand

From the first Test in 1877 to the most recent Ashes win for Australia, England and Australia have a rich history of incredible competition and memorable performances.

Whether it’s Test matches, ODIs or T20 Internationals, when two of the biggest names in cricket clash, everyone takes notice. The rivalry between the two sides has created some of the sport’s most iconic moments, from the bodyline tactics to Donald Bradman’s batting records and beyond.

As such, the first game in this four-match series is a must-watch event for all cricket fans. With both teams in top form, it is sure to be a thrilling contest with plenty of big hitting and clever bowling.

On the surface, it seemed as though the match was destined to be a run-fest, but New Zealand were forced to dig deep in order to survive Australia’s early dominance.

The bouncy Perth wicket, which favored seam bowlers, made scoring runs difficult for the hosts, but Jos Buttler and Kane Williamson put on an unbroken 97-run partnership to provide some hope.

The Black Caps struggled further with the ball as Australia’s pace trio of Josh Hazlewood, Ben Dwarshuis and Adam Zampa continued to pick off their batsmen.

But it was left to the middle order to save the day, led by Travis Head and Alex Carey. Both players were in need of big scores, and their efforts ensured that the Kiwis would be unable to force Australia into a collapse on day five.

A late flurry of runs allowed the Black Caps to close on a respectable 389-6, but even that was not enough to prevent a crushing victory for the Aussies.

Despite a below-strength squad (with Pat Cummins injured and Cameron Green missing out to prepare for the Ashes), Australia dominated the final session with the ball to seal their third straight victory in this series.

3. Australia vs. Pakistan

Australia have a chance to put a poor start to the series behind them in the third and final T20I against Pakistan at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Sunday.

The hosts have dominated both games so far, with captain Salman Ali Agha leading the way with the bat and the bowlers impressing with their economy rates.

Australia struggled to get going at the Oval and were only able to reach 168-6 from their 20 overs. Skipper Travis Head’s unbeaten century put the visitors in a commanding position, but they lost wickets regularly after the Powerplay.

Saim Ayub made it 3-0 in the second over by clean bowling Short, while Mohammad Nawaz was the most effective of the spinners in inflicting a record defeat for Australia at home in the T20I format.

With a 3-0 lead in the series, Pakistan will be confident of completing their mission of becoming the first team to win two consecutive ICC Champions Trophy titles.

The victory will also secure a place for them in the World Cup quarter-finals, where they will host Ireland on February 11.

Salman Ali Agha has been in fine form so far this series, hitting a half-century and scoring over 70 runs in both games. He will look to add to his tally in the third T20I, which will be crucial for him and his side as they try to make a comeback after a disastrous start to the series.

Adam Zampa has been a key member of the Australia side during their T20I winning run in the past few months, and will want to finish off this series with another impressive performance. The left-armer has an impressive record during the death overs and is a major threat for any opposition.

This quick series of three matches will serve a dual purpose for Australia, with this being the last warm-up before the T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka, and giving some of the fresh faces in their squad a chance to make their international debuts.

Mahli Beardman and Jack Edwards both have an opportunity to become the latest Australian players to feature in a T20I for the first time, while Matthew Renshaw will be looking to cement his place in the national side.

4. Australia vs. India

After a successful tour of England to retain the Ashes, Australia will host India for a series of three ODIs and a one-off Test in February and March 2025/26.

Australia’s ODIs will be held at the Junction Oval and Bellerieve Oval, while the Test will take place at the MCG, marking the venue’s first men’s day-night Test.

Australia will also play a two-Test home summer against Bangladesh, three Tests in New Zealand and a five-Test tour of South Africa. Fox Cricket will show all men’s international matches, while Channel Seven will broadcast women’s Tests and all ODI and T20I games.
