Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by six runs in an exciting IPL Final that truly lived up to expectations.
Both teams were hoping to end their maiden title jinx; it was an evening full of both celebration and heartache for both.
Rajat Patidar of Royal Challengers Bangalore was all smiles after winning an IPL final for the first time and engraving his name onto it.
His teammates and support staff celebrated with him while taking turns to pose with and pose with the trophy.
To celebrate and boost brand image further, they even unveiled a “CHAMPIONS” hoarding at their ground which will only serve to enhance brand image even further.
Krunal Pandya was named player of the match once more this season – this time for Royal Challengers Bangalore’s innings and even getting himself run-out as an important moment in the match.
Krunal is now only third person after Rohit Sharma and Dhoni to have received this honour twice.
PBKS openers Priyansh and Prabhsimran got off to an impressive start but Krunal’s bowling, along with Hazlewood, Yash Dayal, Romario Shepherd, and other spinners from Hazlewood, Yash Dayal, Romario Shepherd and Krunal’s middle overs bowling was too much for them to overcome.
Inglis tried hard but was eventually dismissed after 25 balls for 39 off 39. Salt and Kohli tried their hardest but were ultimately unsuccessful; ultimately Shreyas Iyer plans on leading them back towards victory next time for sure in 2025 under his guidance as captain!
