Lamar Jackson
Lamar Jackson had an outstanding return to action Thursday night and helped the Baltimore Ravens defeat Miami Dolphins 28-6. Jackson completed 18 of 23 passes for 204 yards en route to four touchdown passes despite recovering from a hamstring injury which sidelined him for three games.
The Ravens scored on their initial possession as Jackson found Mark Andrews for a 20-yard touchdown. Their defense quickly forced a turnover deep within their territory on the next play, and they marched straight downfield until Rashod Bateman scored again with 3-yard pass from Jackson.
Jackson attempted a screen pass for Mitchell but due to being behind his defender it was called back and intercepted by Achane’s defenders and fell incomplete – two plays from MIA 37 ineffective. Jackson set up another screen pass but it too fell back due to Mitchell being behind their defensive player so it was called back and Achane went up the middle to Achane but the pass fell incomplete and created 2nd and 10 situations on offense for MIA.
On the second play of Baltimore’s drive, Henry opened up its rushing attack by powering through the middle for a 6-yard gain. When Miami tried to stop Henry, but were outwitted by an instant screen pass and subsequent scramble by Jackson gave Baltimore its first down.
Second half play was all offense and Jackson continued his impressive playmaking by finding Bateman for another 5-yard touchdown catch, giving Baltimore an early 21-6 advantage. Additionally, Jackson found Isaiah Likely for a 10-yard score to make four straight touchdowns in the third quarter for Baltimore and another one went out to Derrick Henry who sealed their win against Miami who now find themselves two games behind Bills and Patriots for first place.
Mark Andrews
Mark Andrews played a crucial role in Baltimore’s victory against Miami Dolphins, recording two touchdown receptions and shaking off any rust he may have felt after missing three weeks due to a hamstring injury. He helped move Baltimore from 3-3 to 3-5 overall while giving their playoff chances an extra boost.
The Dolphins made numerous self-inflicted errors that contributed to their defeat. On their opening drive of the game they lost a fumble inside their own territory that led directly to Mark Andrews scoring his touchdown; plus Justin Tucker of Baltimore scored on a 44-yard field goal allowing a win that dropped them from 6-6-3 to just 6-4-6 since 2024.
The Ravens took advantage of turnovers by the Dolphins to wear down their defense, setting themselves up well to win. While the Dolphins had an opportunity to tie the game late on through Jalen Mills’ interception, Jalen prevented their comeback by intercepting one last pass at full strength.
Lamar Jackson appeared rusty upon returning to action, but quickly recovered. He threw two touchdown passes during the first half and was an integral component in Baltimore’s victory. Additionally, Jackson looked confident during his first scramble attempt.
The Ravens have improved with Lamar Jackson at quarterback and this matchup with the Dolphins could be pivotal in their AFC North race. Check out Michael Florio’s start/sit advice for this week’s game.
Isaiah Likely
On Thursday night, Baltimore’s newcomers made an immediate impactful statement. First-round safety Alohi Gilman made an immediate contribution as Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was stripped and recovered for a field goal to set up Baltimore’s first one. Subsequently, second-year cornerback Marlon Humphrey and rookie free safety Malaki Starks combined on an interception on an overthrown pass from Tua Tagovailoa for their own score on Baltimore’s next offensive drive – setting off Baltimore’s own field goal before Miami could advance further with one last play from Miami before taking over possession to start its opening possession for one last field goal before halftime.
Lamar Jackson initially appeared rusty after returning from injury, but after halftime he found his rhythm and led the Ravens to an impressive third quarter performance. Likely was among Jackson’s major beneficiaries as the former fourth-round tight end caught two first-half touchdown passes from Jackson while also performing an explosive 35-yard catch-and-run on their opening drive of the second half. Additionally, Charlie Kolar caught one himself, while Likely finished with season-high 60 yards on three receptions.
Though the Ravens would love to sign impending free-agent tight end Isaiah Likely to an extension, doing so won’t be easy with fellow tight end Mark Andrews already signed onto lucrative deals. Likely, 25, had an ineffective year after suffering a foot injury during preseason play and never recovered, catching 27 out of 36 targets for 307 yards with one touchdown in 14 games in 2025.
As an effective red-zone threat and potential fantasy TE1 option if given enough opportunities, Redmond could become a strong contributor this season for Baltimore.
He may need to battle Malik Nabers (knee), Theo Johnson and Darius Slayton for playing time this season before being considered full-time starter at some point during this three-game road stretch that includes Minnesota, Cleveland and back home before facing Pittsburgh again in Week 13.
This game marked Baltimore’s debut of its road games before hosting Pittsburgh for Week 13 after travelling three road contests: Minnesota then Cleveland before returning home before hosting Pittsburgh for Week 13 before returning home against Pittsburgh for Week 13 matchup in Week 14.
Rashod Bateman
Once Isaiah Crowell became injured last season, Baltimore turned to rookie wide receiver Rashond Bateman who has proven himself an invaluable asset – helping secure their victory against Miami on Thursday night and thus sealing AFC North supremacy for them.
Baltimore scored on its opening drive after winning the coin toss, as quarterback Lamar Jackson connected with tight end Mark Andrews for a 2-yard touchdown. Miami responded with an 62-yard drive featuring 22-yard rush from running back De’Von Achane; however, Riley Patterson’s 35-yard field goal attempt from 40 yards out drifted right and gave Baltimore an early edge at the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Baltimore expanded their lead further when Jackson connected with Andrews for another 20-yard touchdown pass. Miami responded, as Tagovailoa connected with Waddle and Malik Washington for gains before tight end Tahj Washington’s fourth-quarter fumble proved decisive against their offensive success.
Alohi Gilman made an immediate impact as Baltimore Ravens cornerback Jaire Alexander continued to suffer with a hamstring injury, and recorded nine tackles and one sack despite not starting his third consecutive game due to this absence.
Linebackers Dante Trader Jr. and Tyrel Dodson also contributed significantly as part of a defensive unit which forced three-and-outs on all but two Miami drives before forcing three-and-outs on all but two of Miami’s possessions for three consecutive times this season before now being at home again for their home matchup against Buffalo Bills next week in Week 14.
Derrick Henry
Derrick Henry was an essential player for Baltimore in their win against Miami Dolphins, rushing for 119 yards and breaking their single-season rushing record with two scores during the game. Additionally, Henry made an impactful play to help Baltimore score on its opening drive of the second half. While their run defense often struggles against Miami teams’ run attacks, their run defense was successful against De’Von Achane who amassed 67 rushing yards during the first half.
Lamar Jackson made his long-awaited return to the lineup after three games due to a hamstring injury and showed some signs of discomfort upon first running back into action. At first hesitant and lacking his usual flare when scrambling the ball around, but once in full stride in the third quarter led two long drives for Baltimore and completed nine out of 10 passes for 95 yards with two touchdowns for an impressive performance overall.
The Ravens’ offensive line showed steady improvement throughout the game, while Isaiah Likely and Mark Andrews each made impressive catches. Aside from Tahj Washington’s costly fumble, their defense proved strong enough to hold off Dolphins pressure.
Punter Jordan Stout had another stellar performance, repeatedly pincerning Dolphins inside their 5-yard line and setting up big plays for defense. He’s been an essential piece in Baltimore’s turnaround and may now be their most valuable player; this performance marked his 100-yard game and is considered a serious contender for punter of the year honors compared to last season, when he was more often an offensive liability than an asset.
