RR 222/4 in 20 overs

Jofra Archer was first to strike for Punjab, striking with an over 150 kmph delivery that struck just outside off, shaking Priyansh Arya before miscuing his chip towards short fine leg. Archer struck again, this time pushing a short delivery back into him that saw him caught at long-on.

RR made significant headway in their middle phase innings with Prabhsimran Singh and Cooper Connolly providing regular boundaries.

However, Brijesh Sharma and Yash Raj Punja applied pressure with spin bowling that limited run rate; Punja even took two wickets within one over to reduce run rate further.

But impact subs Shubham Dubey and Donovan Ferreira kept up the pressure, both scoring at around 10 runs per over.

Ferreira in particular made an impactful statement, smashing an unbeaten 52* off 26 balls with six fours and three sixes – an outstanding display indeed.

Last five overs were pivotal, and even with Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel gone, RR were still poised to complete their task of scoring 100 runs off 52 balls despite Yuzvendra Chahal taking out Jaiswal and Jurel consecutively in successive overs to make it appear all but impossible.

Ferreira and Dubey managed to remain unflappable as they completed the job with style, the former taking on spinners with ease while Dubey used his strength in the end overs to dismantle Punjab bowlers with ease.

After the match, RR captain Riyan Parag noted that they achieved what was discussed prior to starting this tournament.

According to him, their aim was to excel across all aspects of play and they could have improved some areas of their bowling if need be but always felt confident of crossing over.

With their win coming on top of three straight victories from nine matches played this year for them (extending their winning streak), and Punjab suffering their first loss of the year falling back into sixth position on the points table with seven from nine wins respectively compared with three victories from nine wins out of nine for them compared with eight from nine wins for them.

PBKS 222/6 in 20 overs

Punjab Kings won the toss and posted an impressive total of 222/6 in 20 overs after winning it, thanks to an outstanding performance by Prabhsimran Singh who scored an outstanding 59 off 44 balls anchored by support from Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly who both contributed with runs;

Marcus Stoinis’ late assault of hitting was what propelled PBKS towards a huge total; this Australian all-rounder hit an unstoppable 62 off 22 balls for an amazing total.

Punjab faltered midway through their innings after starting off so strongly, losing wickets at regular intervals and falling further behind run rate. Thanks to leg spinner Yash Raj Punja’s brilliant effort though, Punjab were able to stay ahead. Jofra Archer and Nandre Burger contributed wickets as well for Royals’ strong position.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal of RR were unfazed by their opponent’s huge total, seizing control with some brutal hitting during the Powerplay to establish an early lead. Jaiswal’s impressive half century helped RR reach 200 in 19 overs quickly.

Yuzvendra Chahal quickly put paid to any hopes for an easy victory by Rajasthan, when his remarkable spell saw them losing Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, and Yash Raj Punja in consecutive overs – including one particularly fruitful over with four wickets being taken off in just over six overs!

As the final over approached, Stoinis went full Hulk mode, smashing another six over wide long-on. A few overs later he hit short fine for four runs as well.

RBKS have finally returned and will look to build on their encouraging display with a win against Mumbai Indians next week.

Loss could expose cracks in their side and raise questions over title hopes; yet an improved showing should provide encouragement that the tournament continues, including plenty of firepower available to improve once more during subsequent matches.

Although their form has suffered since their loss against RCB on April 26, RBKS remain at the top of their league despite losing three times already this season; hopefully their final season performances can turn this around and stop this slide before reaching final phase!

RR 228/4 in 19.2 overs

Punjab Kings had made significant inroads towards reaching a massive total despite losing two wickets during the Powerplay, thanks to two classy fifties by Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya, but were held back by Royal Challengers spinners, who kept them within 10 runs an over.

Brijesh Sharma and Yash Raj Punja kept applying pressure with tight bowling by Brijesh Sharma and Yash Raj Punja before Marcus Stoinis produced an astonishing late onslaught by hitting 22 balls without loss en route to finishing unbeaten on 62 off 22 balls!

Early on, 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal gave RR an early edge with some fast hitting, before their departures opened the floodgates to an intense finish. Jaiswal scored 51 off 27 balls to keep RR on course before Yuzvendra Chahal took three wickets during death overs to put pressure on them and ultimately force RR out.

But impact subs Shubham Dubey and Donovan Ferreira came through for their team, contributing a 77-run partnership off just 32 balls that dismantled PBKS’ pace attack and propelled RR to victory by six wickets.

Ferreira was rewarded for his outstanding batting with another six, smashing over deep midwicket! So far he is considered player of the match.

Arshdeep delivers a full delivery outside off, which he takes full advantage of to hit past long-on for six! Arshdeep now boasts an enormous total on his shoulders and keeps progressing!

Burgers send down short deliveries, while Sooryavanshi hits one out to the boundary for a four-ball! RR are in control at present.

The last over begins with a dot before Jadeja shortens his length to Connolly for a four! Jadeja hits it hard over long-on to score another four!

An exciting contest has just ended with both teams exchanging some tremendous cricket, creating memories to last a lifetime! We hope you enjoyed watching, and don’t forget to stay tuned for more live matches in the near future! Cheers!

PBKS 223/6 in 19.2 overs

Marcus Stoinis led Punjab Kings to an impressive total after winning the toss and electing to bowl first, scoring an outstanding innings against Rajasthan Royals.

While Arya and Connolly also contributed, Marcus Stoinis stole the show with an unbelievable late onslaught that saw him score an unstoppable 62 off just 22 balls, effectively ending their challenge for victory.

After an even start, RR found themselves quickly in trouble as their pacers struggled to contain the run rate. Harpreet Brar provided some notable spells; however Yuzvendra Chahal caused most damage, picking up three wickets in Powerplay to reduce deficit and put more pressure on their opponents by eliminating Jaiswal, Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel quickly in succession.

Even with their bowlers not performing at their best, Royals batsmen continued to score runs at an unprecedented rate and with composure and power.

Ferreira and Shubham Dubey proved especially powerful against Punjab during the final overs, scoring sixes off each ball to ease RR’s chase of 262 against KKR back in 2024 – breaking their previous record run-chase against them!

Iyer begins the final over with two singles before Stoinis strikes for his fifty off 25 balls with an immense four past long-on from Burger and then hits another four off extra cover before unleashing an epic six over wide long-on!

Yash Raj Punja and Ravindra Jadeja have completed their overs, with both spinners working well. However, the Royals are currently averaging 12 runs an over in their last five overs – they need to increase this rate in order to mount a challenging chase. Sunil Narine and Jos Buttler provide some batting firepower but need a big performance from them in order to cross over the line successfully.
